Our Story
Meadow Run was born from a desire to make a greater impact in the community and a desire to preserve the future.
Meadow Run founder, Donna Towner, is a Pennsylvania native who first remembers refinishing old furniture with her dad as a young girl. She enjoyed the magic of taking an old, tired painted dresser down to the bare wood and re-staining, giving it a refreshed look. As life would have it, Donna spent much of her time working as an engineer while raising her family and volunteering in the community. She then found herself looking for a new project that would help her continue to give back.
On a creative whim, Donna began upcycling old and interesting picture frames into trays and catchalls. Combing through estate sales and the like for materials, she noticed trendy home décor items and those wonderful, tired furniture pieces begging for new life. She was reminded of those days refinishing furniture with her dad and the idea for Meadow Run Collections was sparked. When she’s not getting up at 5 am on weekends to hunt through estate sales for new inventory or sanding a furniture piece in the garage workshop, you can find Donna hiking through Ohiopyle with her family and dog, Kaiya, or cooking a feast for all to share.
